PS the only tranny available for the 3.3L or 3.8L is the 4 speed automatic.

  2. i have a 89 3.0L car with 604 transmision. my max speed on speedometer is
85 mph. i will change the transmision, with another one. the junk yard
willsell me another from a differnt car. it also has 3.ol engine but it
has max speed as 120mph. In addition, my tire is much bigger. so what is
the difference between these two 604. why the other car goes faster with
the same engine, smaller tire, and same transmision. i will be happy if
somebody tell me the story. i will get the tranmision by saturday. thanks.

There's no difference. The transmissions are the same. However, there's a
difference from the newer transmissions compaired to the old. I believe the
change occurred in 92. The old style used a vehicle speed sendor on the
differential housing output. The newer used turbine input and output sensors to
    calculate the vehicle speed.
The only reason your car has a 85mph speedometer is that that's what chrysler
wanted. I'll bet it's a sedan or van. I could be wrong. It's happened a few
times. Normally the car with the higher posted speedometers were more sporty.
Daytonas, Lebarons, and few Shadows. As long as you use the proper cam for the
    speed sensor, you'll be fine.

    hello,

I have a voyager with 3.3 engine and a604 tranny. I know that there are
voyagers with 3.0 mitsu engines and also a604 tranny. Can I swap tranny from
3.0 engine to my 3.3 engine. What other models have a604 tranny. What other
trannys I can mount on 3.3 engine

No swap. The 3.0 has a large notch for a water-pipe at the top of the
    bellhousing, unlike the 3.3.
