Steeering noise, '99 T & C

Discussion in 'General Motoring' started by Frank Boettcher, Jan 21, 2007.

  1. My '99 T & C 3.8L with 140,000 miles has just started to "whine" or
"groan" when steered. Most noise coming on the wheel return part of
the cycle. I can't feel any vibration or catching in the steering, it
works fine. Fluid is up. What might I suspect is making the noise?

    Thanks

    Frank

Change out as much of the fluid you can with +4 transmission fluid. You
don't need to do a full flush just yet, a baster bulb can pull out enough to
    make a difference.
