Speedometer not working

    after replacing the ecm in my 2010 jeep commander the speedometer, odometer, and cruise control will not work. The speedometer and odometer light up but the needle doesn't move and the miles don't change.
    The computer store tech advised a pinion factor reset. Will this solve the problem or just more wasted money? All speed sensors have been replaced with new.
