Sebring Convert. Rear Window

    I have a '96 Sebring Convertible, and the rear window has detached from the
    top at the top of the window. The previous adhesive (the window seems to
    have been glued to a rubber strip attached to the top itself) simply
    deteriorated into a brown powder.

    Can I simply seal this with a silicone adhesive/sealer?

    Thanks for any advice on this matter.

    they use the same stuff as windshields to bond it
