I've seen pictures of that car for years. I very much doubt it still
exists, let alone can be saved.

  3. Petition? Huh? It's a piece of private property. The owner is choosing to
do something that others don't approve of, but he's completely within his
    rights.

I didn't mean petition as in a bunch of signatures, I meant finding out
where this car is, and organizing personal vistis, snail mail, telephone and
email with offers to buy, or at least educate the owner as to the value of
this one of a kind piece of history. I would even be willing to donate a car
cover. I've also told friends about it, and I have several who have offered
to build a shelter for this car for free.

I appologize, I misunderstood the purpose of this group. I thought it was a
classic Mopar enthusiasts site, but after reading the posts it's more modern
Chrysler owners bitching or looking for help with problems with late model
    cars, not classics. My bad.

  6. So a harrassment campaign, then.
My '62 Lancer 770 and I disagree with that notion.

We have ways to make them sell...usually in town you can get zoning on
their ass. If they have to keep it tagged it gets expensive, plus it
has to be driveable to get inspected to get tagged. Out in the country
there's little you can do. Sometimes you just have to wait until the
owner dies and the kids are usually more reasonable.

If the vehicle has substantial value, a picture and description to
the county property tax people never hurt. If the guy is a miser and
has a stash of cars, a newspaper may be interested, especially if he's
living off other people's kindness while sitting on a pile as these
guys sometimes do. If he's a churchgoer approaching the minister can
be useful if done with skill.

Professional old car whores have other tactics, which I feel loath to
disclose because they can be mean.
