Is there a side plate on my 95 dodge caravan transaxle to replace the
differental pin or do i have to pull the tranny, there seems to be a
noise when i let up on the gas, ihave just replaced the hub/bearing and
now am getting this noise, someone suggested it might be the pin. Thanks
    for all the replies.Tom

There is some excellent info on the 3 speeds and this problem at Paul
Smith's site...and he shows the brackets that are available for this problem
    from Chrysler...

Page has lots of pics,,, differential pin information is at the bottom

    http://www.turbovan.net/Trans3.html

Copied and pasted from his site linked above

Finally Chrysler has come up with a "Fix" for this problem, a bracket to
    keep the pin in:
Part number is 04800059AA, cost about $3.00 each (You need two)

    pin retainer brackets: 04800059AA
    spider gears: 04348679AB
    Spider gear shaft: 04659142
    shim washer kit 04504568

That bracket only keeps the pin in. It doesn't stop the whole thing from
overheating if you are spinning the wheels in the mud/snow.
