I am considering purchasing a 1995 Lebaron Convertible to replace my
    Dodge Spirit.

The one that I am considering is in very good condition. The only
drawback is the mileage. I believe there is 132,000 miles on it. It
has the 3.0 Mitsubishi engine, which I believe was the only offering
for the Lebaron's final year. From what I can determine, the timing
belt and water pump has been changed at least once.

As I have monitored this NG over the years, these are the issues that
I have noted about this car. I am interested in any additional views/
    opinions.

    1. By 1995, the leaking valve seals and sinking valve guides should
have been fixed. Do the seals still tend to wear out on higher mileage
3.0's? Any other problems on high mileage 3.0's?

    2. Valve cover gaskets tend to leak.

    3. *Cross-over* tube from water pump to rear of *valley* tends to
    corrode and develop leaks.

    4. Leaks tend to develop in the well where the top folds into.

    5. Drains in rear quarter panels can clog. Accumulated water causes
    damage to electric window motors.

    6. Electric window motors are no longer available from Chrysler, or
    are very expensive.

    7. How well does the top tend to hold up? This one has been garaged
most of it's life, so the original top is still in good condition.
What is the average cost for a new top?

    8. I have not noted any transmission problems with this model from
    this NG.

I appreciate any views or opinions from current or former owners. I
can probably get this for a good price, so that is why I am
    considering it.
