I have a small leak on the Transmission's Control Solenoid of my 2000
Dodge Caravan. The leak is between the sandwich of plastic and metal
    layers (see image link).

Is there a gasket that can be replaced? Or do I need to replace the
    entire solenoid?

Also, is this doing any damage to the part/transmission? Assuming
that I do not let the fluid level get low...

Is it recommended to replace this part? Anything I need to be aware
of if I replace it? It looks pretty straight forward [famous last
    words :) ]

    thanx, mark

  2. I would first check to see if all the screws are tight holding it together.
The mounting screws are torqued to 105 inch punds. There are 2
gaskets and a mounting plate under the solenoid. The last I knew
the solenoid is replaced as an assembly so I don't know if a gasket
is available to go between the layers but the mounting gaskets should
    be available.
