    I have a 1996 Cherokee 4WD with a 4lt in line six, with auto
    transmission.

Over that last 4 months I have intermittent engine stall when the
vehicle is in motion low at medium speed, never when idling in traffic.
All electrical systems fail (A/C, Radio etc), in addition power
steering and power breaks loose their power assistance, and are
difficult to operate, such that the car is dangerous to use. Switching
the key to off, shifting the transmission to neutral I can restart the
engine with the key. But in the interim I have little control of the
    moving vehicle.

Chrusler replaced the MAP chip, though this did not resolve the
problem. Then Chrysler blamed the car alarm, and it was replaced, again
this did not solve the problem, still the car alarm was blamed, and it
has now been removed. The problem persists, Chrysler now don't have
    any idea.

    Any assistance would be appreciated

    Rgds

If I was a betting person my money would be on the crank case posioion
    sensor.

I second that. Do it yourself. It's cheap and easy to replace. $35 and
    forget the mechanic.

Well, we have replaced the crank case position sensor, and a week
later, we have the same engine cutoff again.

    thanks
