I'd like to install a switch that will keep our 93 Caravan from
starting unless the switch is operated before turning the key to start
the car. Any direction on how to wire the switch would be greatly
    appreciated.

    Thanks.

  2. From starting or from cranking? If you just want to stop it from
cranking, use the clutch safety switch (or Neutral safety switch for an
automatic) and plug your switch in there. If it's normally open, and closes
before you are allowed to crank, put your toggle switch in series, and
close it prior to starting the car. (I think this is the way the Caravan
    one is).

One of the relays on the drivers side fender near the battery controls
the fuel pump, splice this line so the relay won't energize.
This way if someone attempts to steal it in your driveway at least you
might know because you will hear some idiot cranking it, if you disable
the starter then the idiot has time to look for the switch and once it
turns over he knows it will start, or it should start, if its turning
over and not starting you have a better chance of the idiot just leaving
because he is making to much noise.
