How do you enable the automatic door lock option on '94 LHS?

I have searched google groups for info and haven't come up with much.
I have already tried cycling the engine on-off for 4 times and holding
the door lock switch for 8 seconds. None work. Is there a way to
enable the automatic door lock at home or do I have to take it to the
dealer? If so, how much do they charge?

On later models that's controlled by the body computer - as are a
bunch of other items. Dealer'll probably charge $25 to $50 depending
    upon how greedy they are.
If you have it done - it's worth it - try to find out as many other
things controlled by the body computer as you can. I can't come up
with any listing and the dealers around here are tight lipped

The option is programmed by injecting a signal with the computer
reader/writer tool that dealers have. It takes only a few seconds to make
the change. If you're having anything else done to the car while it's in
the dealer's shop, they'll generally do it for free.
