  1. 95ZJ..GRAND CHEROKEE LMTD. How do you disable the factory alarm but keep
    the power
door locks active. Apparently I have a wiring short somewhere in the body
harness and I cant find it and it continually trips the alarm, and killing
    the battery.

If any one can help plz re.

Thanks from a former Jeep Dealer Employee

    first of all you can't
check the hood pin switch for corrosion and with the alarm set, press down on
the hood in the switch area if it goes off the switch is bad
the other thing that needs checking is the disarm switches attached to the
door lock cylinders and you do that by setting the alarm and using the door
locks to open the doors and turn off the alarm if one doesn't turn off the
alarm then thats a bad switch and there is a good chance it's causing a
    battery draw to boot

previous experience I found that the disarm switch, built into the front
door key cylinder is shorted and causing you a problem, check this
before doing any expensive, uneccessary repairs
