    Hi all

Since yesterday i hear a noise from the transmission depending on the r.pm.
It sounds like the sound of a cylinder or a ventilator hitting the case.
when idling it's occurs at P and N. When i take D or R it disappears. It
comes back when driving above 1500-2000 rpm.

Has anybody had the same problem? What to do and what were the costs?

Background: i am from austria. The chrysler dealer said, that he never has
heard such a noise and recommended to change the tranny.

    Thanks for your advice. Markus

    i forgot:
it is the A606 (42LE) tranny. I think it was build also in other cars of
    crysler.

In the 94 LHS which is similar, they had a problem with a snubber and
mine was fixed when the car was pretty new. Basically, if I
understood it right, a chain in the ATcould contact the outer casing
during acceleration. Don't know if that is what you are hearing. Did
    not require a new AT.
