Cruiser running hot - Any thoughts?

    My 2001 PT is running on the hot side. Not overheating, but above
    normal. The fan comes on. It was down over a pint of coolant. No leaks
    visible on the the garage floor, no coolant in the oil. Could being
    only this low in a 6.5 quart system cause it to run on the hot side??
    Radiator cap? Thermostat?
