Yesterday I went for an oil change at Jiffy lube and the technician told me my coolant reservoir was empty. He told me it would be a lot cheaper if I just go to Walmart across the parking lot and buy some and put it in myself. So I did. I was worried it would overheat and made a rush decision. I bought Prestone concentrate that said it was for all makes and models of ANY car. I mixed it 50/50 with distilled water and put it in the reservoir. Got home checked my manual and it explicitly said only use mopar coolant. Now I’ve been googling like crazy trying to make sure I didn’t screw up my car. Some sites say it’s fine, others say my life is pretty much ruined. Help! Have I screwed up or am I okay?
