Strange problem with my new Concord. Any help appreciated.

Problem starting one week ago after driving during a rain storm. Car
would not start (crank). Battery strong - all lights working except
transmission gear indicator on dasboard. No crank at all when this
    light is not lit.

After sitting for a few hours or days car would start up, but problem
would re-occur without warning. Took to dealer, unable to reproduce,
told that system was checked out ok nothing they could do. Brought
car home a day later same problem occured.

    Any clues?

Thanks in advance for your time and suggestions.

Check underhood the nut where the battery connection is and make sure
completely tight and no sign of burning from arching. At that point
the juice goes in two directions.... one to start and other to rest
of car. If that isn't it, if the car comes with 800# for towing, next
time it won't start, use it and when tow guys comes show him it won't
start as a witness. If it happens again a couple of times, and you
live in US, check your manual under arbitration and/or lemon law and
request a replacement car or money back.
