    Hi
1998 Voyager has failed its inspection on "hand brake low" - anyone got
any links or information on how to adjust it?

    Thanks for any help

adjust your rear brakes, and this should correct your low hand brake
    problem...

"Adjusting the rear brakes" is partly right, the park brake is self
adjusting, so first you have to take the slack out of it,
You'll need a pair of visegrip pliers
Go under the van, grab the park cable and pull, with the pliers pinch the
cable somewhere ware you can lock it on the body.
Now adjust the rear brakes, (they are also supposed to be self adjusting),
now release the park brake cable, go inside the van and put park brake and
off until you have a firm pedal.

<Wrong way to adjust brakes snipped.>

The proper way is to adjust the rear brakes FIRST, like has already been
mentioned. You DO NOT need to pull on the cables. Yes, the rear brakes
should be self adjusting, but they don't always work properly. If, after
properly adjusting the rear brakes, the hand brake is still low then adjust
the cable. Most of the time a simple rear brake adjustment will correct the
    problem.

Sorry Mike, there is no adjustment on the park-brake cable, the reason you
have to pull and jam the cable is you pull back on the self adjusting
    park-brake mechanism.
So that after properly adjusting the rear brakes and releasing the jammed
cable, you adjust the park-brake by stepping on and release a number of
    times the park-brake self adjusts.
