Just heard a news story saying that Chrysler is going to show new 2004
vehicles tommorrow (monday) at Cobo hall.

This is only for the press, and cameras are not allowed. Story went
on to say this is unusual as new vehicles are treated as secretly as
the "secrets of the Cadbury chocolate bar", and that this sort of
event is usually held at the North American International Auto Show in
    Detroit.

Again - why is Chrysler performing maximum leakage of the new body
lines outside of traditional auto-show venues?

Anyone know what this event is?

Well the 2004's are all out. The Intrepid, 300M's and Concords were all
built before the summer and were stored all over and at the assembly
plant in Brampton (Toronto suburb) since it has been down for refit
since July. I know a guy who works there on lay off except for some
specialized training in Detroit for the production of 2005?? rear wheel
drive line starting production in January. I would look to a big
assortment of the 300 Hemi C and convertible??
