Chrysler has re-designed the butt-ugly 300 - has anyone seen it?

So the Detroit Auto Show is on right now at Cobo hall.

I've seen pictures of the "new" 300 but not a lot of details.

The new design is less boxy or Bentley looking, less Tonka-Toy looking,
but it now looks like too many other sedans on the market - particularly
Mercedes.

I'd like to know the curb weight of the V-6 model.

And 8-speed transmission? Give me a break. You don't need an 8-speed
transmission to move a 3.5L sedan down the highway at 30 mpg. My 11
year old 300m gets 30 mpg if I'm on level road with no headwind at 65 -
70 MPH on low-octane gas.

What you need is to NOT have a sedan that weighs 4000 lbs, which the
Butt-Ugly 300 has weighed. The 300m came in at about 3600 lbs.

Does anyone know if this new 300 is still based on the LX platform -
using lots of old and expensive Mercedes parts, or has Chrysler finally
cut itself loose of the albatross of using those expensive and heavy
parts that Daimler designed into the 300 back when those Germans were
screwing Chrysler up the ass?

In any case, Chrysler has yet again missed the opportunity to build the
absolutely gorgeous 300-hemi concept car that was shown at the year-2000
auto shows in Detroit and New York, and which soon after got swept under
the carpet by Daimler - never to be seen again.

In other news - the fucking Italian Waps running Chrysler drop the
Sebring name, and replace it with the uninspiring numeric sequence
"200".

I weep for Chrysler.

Fucking europeans doing their best to rape, mame and choke it to death
over the past 10 years.

Where are you god-damn AMERICAN Chrysler engineers in Auburn Hills?
