Bad Switch or Relay?

Discussion in 'General Motoring' started by luckystrike39, Jan 10, 2004.

  1. Hi,

'95 Caravan (no heat, still working on that), 3L, 3sp. Today I heard
this "clicking" sound under the dash that sounded like a turn signal
flasher. When I turn the key on, it just starts clicking. Turn the
key off, it goes away. Turns out that it has something to do with
the driver's door switch. If I jiggle the switch, the clicking
changes in tempo with how I jiggle the switch. So, I disconnected
    the switch. Still clicks.

Found the clicking, it's in a box which is on the floor, behind the
center console. Has two wiring harnesses hooked up to it. There's 2
boxes, one on top of each other. It's coming from inside the bottom
    one.

Is this the computer control module? Is there a relay or something
in there? Since it's 0 out, I don't want to get into it, and will
live with the "click" until it warms up a bit.

Any help on this one is really appreciated.

    Thanks
    Rick K
