Anyone install "park assists" (backup sensors) on their car?

Discussion in 'General Motoring' started by Mark Bratcher, Sep 4, 2006.

  1. I just bought a used 2000 Chrysler Concorde. Nice car, but rear
visibility is really bad for judging where the bumper is. I'm
considering installing backup sensors of some kind.

Has anyone here done this and found them successful? Difficult to
    install? Suggestions?

    Thanks.

Do a search on the 300M Club
    (http://300mclub.org/forums/index.php?sid=426876de8fc01e7e267dc347d2afee34)
    and DI.net (http://www.dodgeintrepid.net/forums/) forums - I know I've
read one place or the other of such an installation.

You're right - rear visibilty is not good on the LH's. Actually the
driver can't see the front of the hood either, so it's hard to judge
    distances in that direction too.

  3. Some of the kits have sensors for the front too so that's always an
    option.
