alternator light T&C 2003

My wife called me today from our 2003 T&C. During her trip to preschool she
heard a quiet "bing" and the alternator light came on on the dashboard. She
continued driving and I talked to the dealership. They said that they have
seen this happen intermitantly with this model of van and that usually it
goes away (if it doesn't, bring the van in). Well after preschool, the van
started with no problem and the light was out.

Anyone heard of this issue?

Hello:
i have had this same problem,it happens when it's very cold the belt slip on
the pulleys at startup then starts turning all the pulleys then the light goes
out.
to solve this problem clean the belt or replace it and clean the pulleys and or
replace the tensioner.

Trouble was it was not too cold and it happened during the journey, not at
the start. Thanks for the reply though.
