My daughter is looking at buying a 1999 Chrysler Town and Country 4D Wagon
Limited AWD. It has a 3.8 V6 and many bells and whistles. Anyone have any
experience with this vehicle? Good or bad we would like to know.

    Thanks

    I have a 99 T&C LTD. It's a 2wd but it's a very good vehicle. It has 145000
on it. Original trans, so far has close to 45k on the brakes and I don't
think I'll need to do anything yet until 160k, it's never had a wrench on it
except for normal maint. items, fluids, filters, brakes struts etc. It does
have the load levelers in back and I know they'll eventually wear out and
it's an item I'm not looking forward to replacing as they're about $300 each
as I recall ;-( but so far so good. I lied about no repair though I forgot
the starter went out this past May.
I have a 93 T&C and it too while not as stellar as the 99 is a very faithful
performer. It has close to 200k on it I believe about 196 at this point. It
has just started to leak a tiny bit from the rear main but otherwise just
    great.
Both have either a 3.3 or 3.8 and these are great little motors and I say
little because these guys are very heavy. Close to the weight of a yukon or
tahoe (which carry V8s). OTher than that I have no complaints other than
    they're "mini-vans".

Thanks I was looking under the hood of this one and wondered how you change
    the rear spark plugs.

With long skinny arms ;-) Actually the best way is to remove the cowling and
the intake. If you don't remove the intake you'll need to remove the
alternator to get at the first one and the rest from underside. Next time I
do mine I'm removing the plenum btw. It ain't easy but these engines are not
hard on plugs. Just be sure to only use the proper Champion double platinum
    plugs you'll get 100k easy.
