99 Concorde key problem

    I have 99 Concorde LHS 3.2 and the key will not turn the ignition all the way off. Sometimes works but mostly not.The oil light stays on and eventually runs the battery down. I had the lock cylinder replaced. It came with two keys, both of which start the car but then it dies. (anti-theft) I'm guessing. My original key starts the car, but it shouldn't I'm told. I have tried tapping with a hammer, which worked on the old lock cylinder but does nothing to make it turn off. I'm stumped??? Anyone have the same problem??
