98 T&C and Raybestos QS Ceramic Pads wear excessively

    Beware Raybestos QS Ceramic Pads. I installed them and initially liked them
    better than original equipment. Van braked quicker and pads seemed to bite
    better. Unfortunitly they wore right down to the metal mounting plates with
    only 10,000 miles on them. I usually get about 50K for a set of pads on any
    vehicle. I saved the left-overs and wrote the company to see if they would
    do anything about it. Those pads were spensive!

    How were your calipers? I've had them with no issues whatever. Did you
    install with new rotors? Lots of variables here.

    i have had problems with those pads also,so far the best and non squealing pads
    that i use now are Wagner Thermal Quiet. i have them on my 97' g voyager with
    over 11k and so far have no problems at all.

    BEWARE>>>>BULL I have a set on my 1999 dodge grand caravan and
    installed them at 88,000 milesI I now have 111,000 on the van and the
    brakes are great just as they were when I installed these pads. As for
    wear I have more than half left on the front pads...Dont jun
    mp the gun and trash the pads...Chech your calipars and are the
    Bushings greases well and also the slide the pads and the calipar sit
    in are they free of rust and also well greased...
