So, my car is getting up there in miles and I have been expecting something like this to happen. For the past day or so when I start my car, it doesn't idle as it is supposed to. The RPMs fluxuate from 500-1500. If I let it sit, the car stalls, but the electronics stay on. If I throw it in gear and drive off, the car stalls not long after, normally when I am in the middle turning.

This doesn't happen all the time, but only after it rains. The problem tends to go away after a day or two but I fear for my car and my safety since winter in Maine can get rather ruthless.\

Thank you for any input reparding this issue.

Well I think its due to poor fuel circulation because somethime when you got some carobn in your fuel pump then it happens. You have to check the fuel pump and clean it or you also can check the spark plugs, they may have the same problem.
