    Hello all.

Our 96 Grand Voyager (145,000 miles and still going) has an issue with the
Air Recirculation. When I press the button on the dashboard, the
little LED lights up, but I never hear the flap move, and I never hear the
change in pitch of the air flow.

I remember these used to be controlled by a vacuum tube. Is this still
    true?
Can I easily diagnose and repair this? Difficulty: I don't want to rip out
    the dash.

    Thanks in advance!

They are controlled by an electronic actuator, Normally if there is a
problem the a/c control panel will blink out a fault if it isn't working

Dig out your manual and run the HVAC test and calibration procedures. If the
actuator just needs resetting that might cure it, if there is a problem with
the actuator, it will flash a code.
