I was driving along, tranny shifted down into second gear and just stayed
there. Would not shift. Took it to a tranny specialist. He took a reading
with a computer while driving the car. The voltage is dropping to 0.... I
believe, which is why it won't shift. Because there was a split second
where the voltage rose up and the car shifted but then dropped right back
down again. He replaced the solenoid pack and the car shifted. I took the
car to work that day and on the way back home the same thing happened again.
2nd gear limp mode. I noticed that when I got the car back that the power
windows worked nice. When it went into limp mode again, the power windows
were sluggish again. Any suggestions from anyone? Thank you!

If you have a 4-speed auto tranny with Speed sensors on the input and
    output, then perform the following;
    1. Removed the cable connector at both the TCM (Transmission Control Module)
and the PCM (Powertrain Control Module) and clean with alcohol and
(soldering / acid) brush. I think you will find a lot of contamination in
    the TCM connector.
    2. If still bad, R&R the Input and Output Speed sensors ($50 total).

Thank you for the info. I took the car to another shop before I read your
suggestion and the mechanic found that there was a wire leading from the
transmission up under the manifold that was melted. This was the problem.
He replaced the wire and re-routed it and all is fine. All total....$29.00
including labor. My local Dodge/Chrysler dealer wanted to push a new
transmission on me. I guess it is very important for second and third
    opinions. Thanks!
