Dealer checked noise on right front end, when turning to left. Advised that
it needs a right engine mount.

The price of the Mopar issued part is very high. The Napa OEM specified part
is approximately one-half the price. Does anyone have any experience with
replacing this part. I have a friend that's going to do it in his backyard,
and I want to know about 1)any potential problems we may encounter and
things to avoid, and 2) Is the NAPA replacement specified OEM as good as it
says 3) any problems after replacing with aftermarket part.

Thanks in advance for any help in this matter.

  2. This is a likely explanation, see previous discussion.
I buy a lot of parts at NAPA. They have a lot of good ones. My experience
with their engine mounts for this car has been OK, not terrific, but it's
also about 8 years out of date -- it's entirely likely their supplier
(Balkamp) has moved production to someplace like China. See if you can
find out where the mount NAPA wants to sell you is manufactured. If it's
    USA/Canada/Mexico, fine. If it's China/Senegal/Thailand/Taiwan etc., go
    get the genuine part.

Remember, you must centre the engine in its mounts after you replace any
of them. Refer to section 9 of the factory service manual; the procedure
is probably not in any of the Haynes/Chilton/Motor type books, which are
    not worth a nickel.
