    Hey there,

Just trying to install a stereo in my 93 dodge shadow. I'm having a
hell of a time getting the faceplate to fit properly, and wondering if
anyone else has worked with a mounting kit/stereo and this model.

    Lemme know!

    Thanks,

    Chris

  2. I suggest starting with a good quality mounting kit. There are several
that try to cover too many applications. As a result, they do not fit
correctly, or provide proper support. I recently put a *DIN* cd player
in my 1990 Dodge Sprit. I got a mounting kit that has a sleeve inside
the opening, that helps support the unit. It cost $15 at my local car
    stereo place.

They also have wiring adapters so that you can use the factory black
    and grey connectors.

I put a JVC DIN style MP3 player in my LeBaron a while back.

I ordered it from crutchfield.com, and they sent me the specific
installation kit for my vehicle, as well as the wiring harness with the
    deck.

    It fit perfectly.
