I tried to center the engine today. I had a small trans leak from the
drivers side cv joint and thought it wasn't centered correctly. (seals were
replaced and transmission was checked and is ok). After I moved it about a
1/2 inch and started it, I hear a tinny noise (sounds a little like a
rattle) didn't put it in gear and turned it off right away. I'm trying to
get it back to where it was, but don't know what the noise is. Is it
possible the cv joint is in too far and rubbing against something ?

    thanks,
    nick

Well, here's what the problem was. I snugged up to two oil pan bolts at the
rear and when putting the socket on the bolts I must have bent the trans.
flywheel cover enough to cause the flywheel bolts to hit one part of the
cover making that tinny noise. I'm glad that was the problem and not
    something major.
