I have a 90 New Yorker that I am trying to remove the wiper arms from, and I
am having a rough time of it. I have lifted the cap on the end of the arm,
and removed the hexnut holding it, but I can't seem to get the arm to
dislodge. Is there another holding tab or something that I need to depress
to get the arm to come off?

    Thanks in advance,

    Dennis

Nope, no other tab or anything, just 13 years of oxidation.

A battery terminal puller (looks like a mini gear puller)
    works great in this situation.

Put the nut on a few turns so you don't mung the threads.

  3. Careful application of heat with a propane torch might expand it enough to
    get it
off if it's frozen on there. But be careful, perils abound. (not the least
    is cracking your
    winshield)
