    To any chrysler transmission guru-

I have a 95 dodge stratus 2.4/4spd that my girlfriend is currently using. She
called a few days back indicating it will not shift. The vehicle is currently
300 miles away so I was asking her to describe the situation over the phone.
It appears the vehicle is not in limp mode. It shifts from 1st to 2nd with no
problem and back down to first. Will do this all day long. The solenoid pack
can be heard operating during the 1-2 shift, the 2-1 downshift, and reverse.
It is like the transmission is not being commanded to shift. note, it does not
neutral out, it just wont shift.

I will be traveling up to the vehicle this weekend and was interested in any
possible thories that might give me an added edge, or disappointment.
My first thought it might be the input or output sensor, possible wishful
thinking. The second idea is the OD clutch snap ring broke. If the OD clutch
snap-ring broke would the transmission exhibit symptoms similar to what i
described, or am I off. The thing that gets me is the transmission will not go
    into limp mode.
    Thanks in advance

    Dan
