2007 Chrysler pacifica

    Hey all! I have a question I'm hoping someone will be able to help answer! When I move my shifter into drive or reverse there is a very loud grinding noise like it's trying to go into gear but can't ( the noise doesn't happen when I move it into neutral) Even in drive, the car will not move. Is this a transmission issue or could it hopefully be something else? Before this happened it was making a weird noise when I turned the wheel like it was a transaxle, but now I don't know. I want to have an idea of what it could be before I call a mechanic to get it towed. Thank you in advance!
