    Hi,

2001 Dodge Grand Caravan Sport around 40k miles. 3.3L V6

Engine light has been on solid for two weeks. Code is 1491 which is a
problem with the Radiator Fan Control Circuit. Are there any techs out there
that know what I need to do? What part needs to be replaced.

    Thanks
    KMP

well first you need to use a scattool to actute the fans to see if the system is
working or not it could ba as simple as a relay but thats just a small part of
the system does the fans turn on???

Took this to the dealer. Final cost $244.

What a crock of poop. It was a bad relay on the fan. It was loacted between
the radiator and the grille. They found wiring that was "rubbed" to the
point of shorting out and that blew the relay. How is that not a design
defect? This Dodge has been in the shop for things like this at least six
times. I have an Avalon with 85k on it and have only done brakes and tires
    on it.

Take a digital photo, write a polite letter requesting that DCX cover at
    least the parts.

    Good luck -
