For a few weeks I have had a noise from the passenger front right side when
turning left only. It is like the noise you get when turning, but the whir
noise is enhanced. Prior to this noise, I would get a rattle noise from the
same area when going over some bumps in the road. I had a mechanic look at
it recently, and he replaced the bearings but the noise is still there.

    Thanks for any help!

Any chance at a clicking noise, too? That would be classic CV joint
symptoms, but a competent mechanic should have spotted that.

The rattling could just be the brake pads, some mechanics don't replace
the little metal spring who's only job is to silence rattles under no
brake pressure...but the symptoms you describe sound more like CV joint..
