Hi, it's my first post here btw. I parked my 2008 2.4L base model PT in a storage space for over three months out of state while I was finishing a big move. Two weeks ago, I was finally able to get to the storage facility with the idea of driving it back home, but to my dismay, it refused to start, although it did crank. I figured it might be the battery, which needed replacing anyway, so I installed a new one, but no improvement. So far, I've checked the fuel pump, which seems to work fine, since it hums for 2-3 seconds once the key is turned on, and I checked for fuel flow by disconnecting the hose from the connection at the firewall, not mention checking the timing belt, by removing the plastic plug on the cam cover and having someone turn it over to affirm that the cam gears are rotating rapidly as they should. I also checked the coil by pulling one of the spark plug wires off to actually check that there was electrical spark(I ended up getting one heck of a shock). I've even replaced thr 40 amp fuse for the ASD relay, even though the metal filament wasn't broken. The PT has 3/4 of a tank in it, and I've also tried starting fluid into the air intake, which did nothing. At this point, I have no clue what else to do, but any help right now would be amazing. I can't afford a mechanic, so I'm trying to do everything I possibly can. Grateful for any experienced suggestions!!!
